These land parcels managed by BLM have been designated as "closed to fluid mineral leasing" per the individual field office plan for the area. This data was compiled for the Big Game Corridor Planning effort, but may be used as a statewide representation for areas closed to leasing
This GIS dataset representing areas closed to fluid mineral leasing within the Big Game Corridor Resource Management Plan Amendment planning and or decision area was created or modified to facilitate analysis or planning activities related to the RMPA. This dataset may be an amalgamation of multiple BLM datasets gathered from numerous BLM Field Offices or generated during disparate land use planning efforts (RMPs, RMPAs) within the Big Game Corridor RMPA planning area. Or, a dataset acquired from another agencies or partners and modified in some way to meet the needs of the Big Game Corridor RMPA planning (e.g. clipped and projected into the Coordinate System of the Big Game Corridor planning effort, new attributes added and calculated). Information regarding the sources and techniques used to generate this final dataset can be found in the Lineage section of this metadata document.
